Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery Counties Real Estate. Tips for home buyers, home sellers by Gita Bantwal,Realtor at Re/Max Centre Realtors.: February 2010

Tips for buyers who want to take advantage of the tax credit.

If you are a First time home buyer or repeat buyer looking to take advantage of the Tax credit please read the criteria

on  and talk to an accountant if you have questions.

Here are five tips :

1.Talk to a lender as soon as possible so that you will not waste too much time once you find the house.

2.If you are looking for a short sale, be carefull. It may take months for approval.Ask the agent for more information about the short sale and lender.

3.If you are buying new construction read the fine print about delivery time. Make sure it is not past the deadline.

4.Start your search as soon as possible, as when the deadline is closer, banks may be so busy that you may not get the loan on time.

5.As many buyers will be buying there may be multiple bids and fewer homes to choose from. Take advantage of the market now.
