Attention Home Buyers !
It is important to get home owners insurance when you buy a home. If you are getting a mortgage the lender will require that you get home owner's insurance.
Even if you are paying cash you should get home owners insurance . Most of the time the agent will advice you but if you are buying from FSBO you may not know about it unless you hire an attorney to help you with the transaction.
You can shop around for insurance. Sometimes there may be a discount if you get auto insurance and home owners insurance from the same company.
Here is a resource that I came across on Reviews.com .
