Guiding Principles on Active Rain. Weltanschauung

I came across Weltanschauung on Active rain a few times and never bothered to look it up until a few years ago when they had a contest.

. I have no idea how to pronounce it and if it were in the spelling bee I would be eliminated in that round.

 On Active Rain page , it is defined as, guiding principles and philosophy of an organization, a world view.

There are 10 principles mentioned. All members should read it before starting to blog and comment. I believe most of the real estate agents are here to prospect for business.

Principle # 2 helps us achieve our goal.

  1. We believe that real estate professionals will thrive if they demonstrate their local market expertise. With ever greater access to listings, local knowledge is now the key differentiator.

Principle #2.' We believe that Real estate professionals will thrive if they demonstrate their local market expertise. ' Buyers and sellers can look up listings on several sites .  Active Rain gives us the opportunity to blog about the listing, the school districts, the amenities in the community, market reports and also to interpret the reports etc. We can write posts that show us as the local expert. We can write keyword rich posts to get consumers to click on our sites. Just one listing can be promoted to several groups on Active Rain. Instead of posting the mls information about a listing which people can see every where due to broker reciprocity, we can write a post about it on Active rain. We can then blog about the entire community and use videos, multiple photos (mls allows a limited number ) and market reports about the community.

Do not forget to promote local events. People like to move to communities where they have fun events for themselves and their families.Promote local businesses. when people read your posts they should want to move to the area . As they have been reading your posts they will know you are the local expert.Consumers do not call an agent right away.

They look on the internet for a few weeks before calling an agent. If we work with buyers we can write posts for buyers. We can choose our audience. We should have the Rainmaker account so that the posts are read by consumers.

Yes, people do read our localism posts. You will not receive comments but click on statistics, and check on views and clicks. You will be surprised at number of clicks on local posts. You can use this tool on your listing presentation. Blog about a listing. Show prospective sellers your Active rain posts, clicks and views for the listing. Show how it is marketed to a network of over 300,000 members.

 

When you read about events please check the year for the event as some people find information a year later and think it is for that year. . The posts remain online even after the event.

I'm with you - I cannot pronounce nor spell that W word! But it's good that we all revisit the rules and get reacquainted of why we are here in the first place.
